Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.

Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

My Thoughts

The one question people seem to ask is: Is there such a thing as love at first sight? Some say yes some say no but there is such a thing as love.

I loved The Probability of Love at First Sight! (Wow! That's at mouth full!) I found this book adorable, and incredibly thoughtful. It captured my heart from cover to cover. The cover of the book was love at first sight for me! I recommend this book to everyone, especially those who want a book that is all about normal relationships and probable events.

If Hadley hadn't turned up late for her flight having to readjust her dress last minute, giving herself a paper cut printing her ticket, losing her phone charger, being stuck in traffic on the expressway, missing the exit, trying to pay the toll, maybe if she ran faster to the gate she wouldn't have missed it.

Hadley Sullivan has never missed a flight in her life. Until racing against time to go on the flight that will take her to her father's wedding in London, her wish, and nightmare, have come true. After missing her flight by four minutes Hadley is stuck at JFK  waiting for her next flight. In her time spent thinking  of the   soon-to-be-new step-mother she hasn't even met, Hadley runs into Oliver who turns out to be going to London also.

For Hadley, I could instantly relate with her and I know many other people would too. She has the qualities of a realistic character and with phobias against the littlest things. While she tries to forget her father leaving her mother I love her passionate side and determination to get what she wants.

And...

Oliver... Oliver was amazing! He is sweet, funny, adorable and he has a British accent (and who could not love a British accent?). I was never disappointed with him. The kindness he shows to Hadley (and a little old lady) is one of admiration. If I had to describe the relationship between Oliver and Hadley, I would say love at first sight.

What do you think? Do you believe in love at first sight?
